VCAir Screenshot Contest

Welcome to the VCAir Screenshot Contest. Every month, our pilots submit their favorite screenies to the vote. The winner gets their screenie put up here with our congratulations. It's a great opportunity to show off your latest airplane, scenery, some cool new perspective, or your artistic ability. So, if you want to see if yours can make it, give it a shot. Submit it and let it be judged.

We have the VCAir Monthly Screenshot Contest forum dedicated to the screenshot contest. It can be found here as part of our VCAir forums. Please note that there is also the Screenshots & Videos forum for those who want to post a screenshot, but not enter it into the competition. Be sure to submit a screenie in the right place for it to be considered.

The Rules and Procedures

Beginning the first of each month, submissions will start to be accepted.  The judges will announce when the submittal period for that month is closed (usually the last day of each month).  Following that, the judges will review the submitted screenshots and nominate 3 screenshots in each category.  You, the VCAir members, will be able to vote on the nominations.  The winner of the public vote will have their picture displayed here on this page for the following month.

The panel of judges consists of 5 members of the VCAir staff and will not be allowed to enter screenshots for the competition. It is their job to review the monthly submittals and nominate the three in each category.

• Each person is allowed to submit a total of 3 pictures each month.
• Each picture can be in 1 of 2 categories: edited or unedited.
• A picture is considered edited if it has been modified in anyway from the original snapshot except:
  
  • cropping to remove the Windows frame
  • removing the red lettering placed above an aircraft during a multiplayer flight
  • resizing an image
• Elements of real-world photos can not be included in the image.
• Screenshots need to be less than 900 pixels wide.
• Once a picture is submitted, it can not be replaced by another submittal.
• Only screenshots posted in this forum will be accepted.
• Screenshots submitted after the period is closed will not be considered for nomination.
• Judges are not allowed to submit screenshots for the competition.
• The judges reserve the right to modify the rules.  However, the rules as they stand at the beginning of that month will be applied to that month's competition.  New rules will be applied starting the following month.
